I have been talking to a lot of people about the condition of my knee post surgery. Replacing my ACL with the patella tendon was the best decision I could have made.
After tearing your ACL you have two decisions to make; one is if you should repair it, the other is how to repair it. If you want to continue to wakeboard after surgery, it is a pretty obvious choice to replace your torn ACL. The next decision to make about your ACL is how its going to be repaired. I have nothing to compare it to, other than my healthy knee, but I am very happy with the replacement of my ACL with patella tendon. I am only 5 weeks since surgery and have resumed full activity in my everyday life. It is expected that I should be 100% in 3 months.
Just thought I would give you guys an update. More soon!
